Like PS5, PSVR 2 and Sense Motion Controller have been updated. But what are the real changes of these new firmwares?
It’s patch day for Sony products. After the PS5 with its 7.00 update finally adding Discord, the PSVR 2 headset is also improving. However, some changes would not be announced by PlayStation. Placebo effects from users or really important changes?
PSVR 2 welcomes a new update
With PS5 update 7.00, Sony introduced two official improvements to PSVR 2. The first concerns the games library, with the possibility of sorting your PlayStation VR 1 & 2 titles to find them more easily. The second is to update the software of the helmet’s Sense controllers for better stability and to be able to update them with a wireless connection. Minor revisions therefore, unless it fixes the bugs on the right controller that some players have encountered. But no word on that from Sony Interactive Entertainment.
As is so often the case, it is therefore more necessary to turn to the web to find more exciting information. Yep, PSVR 2 owners shared their experiences after installing the update on the forums of Reddit (above PlayStationLifeStyle). Based on this feedback, image quality would have been improved on Horizon Call of the Mountain and Gran Turismo 7, the two spearheads of the PlayStation 5 headset.
Another person claims that this update fixed an issue with their TV. An issue that prevented the TV from turning off properly after turning off the PSVR 2. As for image quality feedback, it’s difficult to know where the reality lies.
A bad new one
What is certain is that the PSVR 2 has significant room for improvement, especially in the area of media playback, since 3D Blu-rays are currently not supported. It could be in the future…but maybe not with physical discs. wait, look
On top of that, we got some bad news about The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners and its PlayStation VR 2 update, which won’t be free for everyone.
