Con The Batman 2 Waiting to start production, the series of the Penguin for HBO continues with its first days of filming with familiar faces. A few days ago we had the opportunity to see Collin Farrell again under the skin of Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot stalking the streets of Gotham, but this time another character is added that will give a lot to talk about in the future.
It is about nothing more and nothing less than Sofia Falcone, the daughter of mobster Carmine Falcone who already gave Robert Pattinson’s Batman enough headaches in The Batma. This character will be played by Cristin Milioti, who may sound familiar to you because she is Ted Mosby’s wife in the sitcom How I Met Your Mother.
But why do we say that it will be a character that will talk about? Well, for those of you who don’t know anything about Batman from the comics, Sofia Falcone Gigante (this last name added later by her brother) is one of the most interesting female supervillains which Bruce Wayne and the Gotham police in general are facing.
It turns out that his alter ego is Hangmana DC supervillain who ravages the city murdering policemen through the mythical game of hangman, since he leaves the names of his victims marked in blood as in the popular game for children.
Unlike what can be seen in the series, in the comics you can see that Sofia is a woman extremely muscular and largeso her role within The Penguin could change to focus more on a mafia leader than a serial killer.
We remind you that the HBO series of the Penguin, in addition to following the plot that left The Batmanhas set its release date for sometime in 2024even though it doesn’t have a specific month or quarter yet.
