After Space Run and above all the Excellent curse of the dead god, a roguelike with an atypical artistic direction, studio Passtech Games returns with Ravenswatch. A new roguelike that also opts for a unique artistic direction, but instead of bringing the gods to their knees, wants to abuse the most popular stories and legends.
Ravenswatch recruits Aladdin the Snow Queen and Little Red Riding Hood
raven guard in fact, offers us the opportunity to embody fantastic and legendary characters such as Beowulf, Mélusine, Little Red Riding Hood, the Pied Piper (from Hamelin), Aladdin or even the Snow Queen. But no question of singing, because the ice queen, like all her followers, prefers to decimate whole hordes of creatures from fairy tales.
commit roguelike, raven guard promises to be difficult and will reward each more or less successful game with powerful items to improve our heroes. In addition, each playable character has their own characteristics and abilities. The Snow Queen, for example, will be very effective at decimating enemy ranks in large areas and performing some crowd control where Beowulf enters combat to make his blade speak. Little Red Riding Hood can call on her bestial side to strengthen herself and clean up.
As an icing on the cake, the game will be playable in cooperation with up to 4 players. Which is relatively rare for roguelikes in the genre.
A release date?
If the game doesn’t have a definitive release date yet, raven guard just announced that it will be available in Early Access on Steam next 6.4.
Many updates are expected, including new characters and a lot of items. The game will later be released in version 1.0 on PS5, Xbox Series, PC, Switch, PS4 and Xbox One.
