It appears that Rocksteady’s upcoming game, The Expendables: Kill the Justice League According to a new report, there has been another delay.
A source familiar with the matter told Bloomberg that the game has been delayed until later in 2023 for some polishing.
The report notes that the delay will also give the development team more time to iron out bugs and improve other aspects of the game.
However, it doesn’t change the core gameplay elements that caused the game’s community to backlash. Back in February, Rocksteady gave an in-depth look at the game in a State of Play demo. In an FAQ posted to the game’s website after it aired, it was revealed that the game requires an always-on connection – even in single-player mode. When people heard the news, they were not very happy.
It was also announced that the game will contain something akin to a battle pass, which will include cosmetics. After launch, players can also look forward to new playable characters, new quests, new weapons, and other content that will be playable after the main story is complete.
Originally scheduled for release in 2022, it became available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on May 26 last fall. A new release date has yet to be set if the report proves to be accurate.
