While a laptop seems like a standalone unit, with a keyboard, display, trackpad, hard drive and everything in one tidy package, it’s not that simple.
You need a charger and charging cable to get started, and when you’re on the go you need to carry your AirPods, and maybe you prefer a proper mouse over the MacBook’s trackpad. What if you also had an iPad to work on? A simple clutch can’t cope with all of this, but the Nomad Organizer, from luxury bag maker Harber London, certainly can.
The Nomad has ten pockets: one padded for your MacBook Pro and another padded for a 9.7-12.9-inch iPad, and roomy enough to handle the tablet with a Smart Cover. Be warned, however, that holding both a laptop and a tablet, the pouch can be difficult to close if you’re also stuffing chargers and other tech.
A bottom pocket is big enough for your MacBook charger, but you’ll notice a bump in the fine lines when closed. I prefer to keep my bulky stuff in a bag with a wider opening – check out our favorite tech storage bags – and use this pouch for finer essentials.
Two pockets are zipped for safe storage (eg cash or memory cards) and there is a handy key clip strap. There are a few holders for pens or an Apple Pencil.
There’s also a phone pocket, but I’m not sure I want all my devices in one place, and most of us prefer to have our phone handy in an easier-to-dive pocket or bag. If you do, it’s big enough for an iPhone Pro Max.
Below that pocket are a few slots for credit or travel cards, and above are five straps that will hold an AirPods case, cables, and even an AirTag — after all, at this price, even the pouch alone definitely worth keeping an eye on all the time. I would have preferred elastic straps for a firmer hold, but I can appreciate the all-leather design that looks super lush.
You can carry the Nomad Organizer under your arm, via a subtle integrated handle, or you can attach a matching strap to carry it over your shoulder like a messenger bag.
