Hardly any other first-person shooter is as plagued by cheaters as Escape from Tarkov. Although BattlEye should actually ensure that hackers are recognized and developer Battlestate Games repeatedly pillories masses of fraudsters, the negative reports don’t stop.

A YouTuber recently calculated that hackers in up to 60 percent of the games occur. And that same content creator called g0at made a particularly bold attempt to shed light on the undergrowth of the cheater jungle. In doing so, he discovered something completely unexpected.

Daring and, above all, controversial, g0at’s attempt was because he himself used cheats in Escape from Tarkov to expose other hackers. Eventually he was banned, but only after a long unrecognized period, as he claims in his video:
