Diablo is one of those franchises that redefined a genre. We are talking about ARPG, a genre where Diablo laid fundamental foundations that are still fundamental elements of any game of this type today. This is why any developer involved in the franchise always has a good reputation.
This is the case of Jay Wilson, game director of Diablo III, and Julian Love, combat designer of Diablo IV, two former developers of the saga, who today announced their new studio: Gas giant games.
Gas Giant Games already has its first game in the oven: an ARPG with survival accents
This new study is made up of veterans of some of the most notable games of recent years, such as Overwatch, Cyberpunk 2077, Gears of War or Kingdom Hearts. This team that Wilson and Love have assembled is distinguished by its talent, which they will put at the service of creation a new ARPG with survival elements which will be broadcast at the end of this same month of March. Or that is the intention of the study, since between March 23 and 24 they will present various private presentations to investors and publishers of the game and then we could find out more about this project.
While we’re not yet ready to reveal all the details of our ongoing project to the world, we can say that fans of our previous games will be thrilled with what’s to come. I can tell you this: our game will offer crazy, visceral combat, engaging progression systems, and a unique survival experience, all wrapped up in a new and original world that we’re sure you’ll love exploring.
