In the United States they spread the news that the next iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will increase their price for the first time in several yearswhile those of us who have watched how the iPhone has grown nonstop since then are rubbing our eyes.
The iPhone X was released in 2017 to mark the 10th anniversary of the iPhone. A completely redesigned new smartphone that did without the home button so characteristic of the Apple phone for years, and launched a new biometric identification system such as Face ID, and in which practically the entire front was a screen, except for the notch on the top which then became the iPhone’s new identifying mark. This iPhone X then experienced a considerable price increase, taking into account that it was a “special” phone, and that the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus were launched in the same year, cheaper and more continuous. Its price: $1,159.
Since then, in the United States, the price of the iPhone has remained stable, with a fixed price of $999 for all new models this year. We are of course talking about the “Pro” models, because the “Pro Max” models have had a fixed price of $1,099 since the launch of the iPhone XS Pro Max the following year, the first model of this size. The thing outside the United States did not follow this same path, far from it, and we have seen year after year price increases on new models up to $1,319 for the iPhone 14 Pro and $1,469 for the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The new iPhone 15 Pro is rumored to have a titanium chassis, new touch buttons, more RAM, a better camera with increased diptych zoom, and the new A17 Bionic processor. All these changes and the high inflation in the United States would be the justification for this price increase. The million dollar question is: How much will it increase in the rest of the countries? Hold on tight to the chair just in case.
