With the Galaxy A54, Samsung has introduced a new mid-range cell phone. Switching to this is especially worthwhile if you are currently using this Galaxy smartphone.
- Galaxy A51 software support is about to end.
- With the A54, a successor is ready.
- You can save 100 dollars when changing through a purchase campaign.
With the Galaxy A54, Samsung has now presented a cheap alternative to its top smartphone, the Galaxy S23. Compared to the direct predecessors A52s and A53, the changes are rather minor. Samsung has screwed on details. However, if you still use the Samsung Galaxy A51, the switch should be worthwhile.
Software support for A51 will end soon
Not only because the innovations compared to the four-year-old cell phone are significantly larger than last year’s models, but also because the time of the Galaxy A51 is running out. With Android 13, the cell phone received its last major update and there won’t be security patches forever either.
Samsung only distributes these every six months, in the next step software support will be discontinued. That should be the case in spring 2024. If you switch to the Galaxy A54 now, you get a modern device and can also look forward to long software support again. Samsung guarantees you updates to Android 14, Android 15, 16 and 17 for the mobile phone.
Trade in the A51, get 100 dollars from Samsung
Security patches should be available up to five years after publication. This means that the cell phone would not reach the end of its life cycle until 2028. You can currently get the Galaxy A54 even cheaper from Samsung. So you get the cell phone with 256 gigabytes of memory for the price of the 128 gigabyte version. In addition, Samsung will pay you up to 100 dollars if you trade in your Galaxy A51.
