Remnant 2 promises to take procedural world creation to a new level

. All this with the aim of ensuring that each game has a totally unique story and adventure, being a different experience to go through each area.

One big change we made for Remnant 2 was that we randomized the story. So if you walk in and fight a mini-boss and another player walks in and fights another in the same area, it’s possible the two players will have totally different opponents. Moreover, different random events occur in the game and even change the layout of dungeons. If we remember the first Remnant, when two players started a new match, they both went to town, found a big tower and saved a lady in a church, even though the dungeons and mini-bosses were different. However, in this new game, even that is random.

When you go. In a new area of the game, you will get a random story, even if you are in the same world. You can get a different story. These are pre-constructed and scripted stories. We have high level beats, but there are several per world, so not only can you get a different world from another player, but you can also experience a different story in that world, with its own NPCs and sound own world boss.

So the number of permutations ensures that two people playing in the same area get a different experience.
