Far Cry 5 received a free update that improves it to 60 fps on next-generation consoles PS5 and Xbox Series, there will also be a free trial of the game.
What improvements does the version of Far Cry 5 have for PS5 and Xbox Series?
Anyone who owns this game and launches it on a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S console can now download a free update patch that allows them to enjoy Far Cry 5 a 60 fps (frames per second) and with resolution increased to 4K. The latter does not apply to Xbox Series S, in which it will have a maximum of 1080p.

This update turns the game into a native version for the new consoles. If you play the PS4 version on PS5, it will not have all the improvements.
When is the free trial?
The other news with which we celebrate the anniversary of the game is that we can download and play Far Cry 5 completely free between Thursday 23 and Monday 27 March 2023 en Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 y PC (Epic Games Store y Ubisoft Store).
