Lately, various video game outlets have been posting a lot of Nintendo related listings. Just in the past week, Digital Trends made a list of Pokemon games, and IGN and Polygon took a moment to rank the Zelda games. Now it’s Kotaku’s turn to rank some Nintendo games.
This time, however, it’s Fire Emblem. Kotaku decided to rank the best Fire Emblem games from worst to best. However, their list has one catch. There are no spinoffs or mobile titles, and there are even some main series games that are not included because they were never released outside of Japan. However, 10 games made the list.
Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, which had a limited release on the Nintendo Switch a few years ago, made it to #10. Kotaku’s best Fire Emblem game, according to them, is Fire Emblem Awakening on the Nintendo 3DS. The newest game, Fire Emblem Engage, is at #6. You can see their full list below.
- Fire Emblem: Awakening

- Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
- Fiery emblem of destiny
