That’s why Diablo 4 looks very different here
So far, Diablo 4 has been very reserved with colors. The atmosphere is much more reminiscent of the first part than the much more colorful Diablo 3. But the fact that Diablo 4 looks so different in the latest gameplay video is not actually because Blizzard spontaneously decided on a new look.
It cannot be denied that the action role-playing game has many blue and yellow markers, numerical values, bars or arrows on display here. Sometimes the screen is barely visible because of all the icons. But that has everything to do with the fact that the indicators for two players are shown here.
Lead game designer Zaven Haroutunian and YouTuber Bluddshed play Diablo 4 in co-op on the same console. Diablo 4 radically adapts its interface for this. All values and indicators have been highlighted here in the player’s colors and there are also significantly more and more concise indications of which player can currently collect what or which enemy he is targeting.
Of course, all these indicators fill up the screen, but they are intended to make orientation easier. Whether you like it or not is another question. But it only becomes relevant if you want to play Diablo 4 in local co-op. A feature that is only available on the console, but not on the PC.
What do you think of the video? Are you worried about Diablo 4 or are you sure the single player doesn’t have these issues? Would you have wished that the co-op didn’t have so much color? Write it in the comments!
