Just last week, developer IndieGala announced its latest game, greedy. VORAX is an open world survival horror game inspired by some of the best horror games of all time such as Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and The Forest, which is still in development but looks promising.
As a wounded mercenary on a Mediterranean island, you discover that a mysterious pathogen is infecting the island’s inhabitants. When an army battalion was sent to quarantine the place, all communications were lost and you can only imagine what happened to the soldiers.
With only a small survival kit at hand, it’s your job to gather resources, craft new tools, build a strong base, and defend yourself from the island’s threats.
If this all sounds eerily similar to Endnight Games’ Forest and Children of the Forest, that’s because it is. However, this particular quest seems to host a few more features that will make this single player game even more appealing because, let’s be honest, children of the forest single player isn’t fun (yet).
In addition to crafting an array of tools, weapons, and more, you’ll venture across this vast open-world island to see what it has to offer beyond its infected counterpart. There are sewers, caves, and various ruins to explore, provided players are brave enough to face the looming dangers on the island.
VORAX is currently still in development with a release date set for Q1 2024, but you can check it out on Steam if you like it. If you want to experience everything this Mediterranean island has to offer, a free demo is now also available via Steam!
