EA will soon pull four older DICE games from its digital storefront.
According to EA, Battlefield 1943, bad company, bad company 2and Mirror’s Edge Sales will end on April 28th.
This is in preparation for the closure of online services for these games on December 8th. Regarding Bad Company 1 and 2 and Mirror’s Edge, you can continue to play their respective offline features, such as the single player campaign.
Released in 2009, digital-only multiplayer Battlefield 1943 Takes place in the Pacific Theater of World War II. In it, you can play as a U.S. Marine or a member of the Imperial Japanese Navy with up to 24 players across three maps, with a fourth map unlocked after accumulating 43 million players to kill. It’s available on PS3 and Xbox 360.
Battlefield: Bad Company Released in 2008 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It stars Private Preston Marlowe, who and his squad set out to steal gold from mercenaries during the Russo-American War.
sequel, bad company 2, released in 2010 for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, iOS, and Kindle Fire. In it, Preston Marlowe returns with his squad during the Second Russo-American War. They have been transferred to the Special Events Unit, where they are tasked with contacting Agent James “Aguie” Wyatt, who sent them on a trip to Bolivia.
2009 PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 games Mirror’s Edge A bit off topic for DICE. The first-person action-adventure platformer, set in a not-too-distant future city, puts you in control of Faith Connors, an underground parkour courier trying to transmit messages while evading government surveillance developed by an oppressive regime. To progress through the game, you’ll need to complete a series of levels by performing acrobatics, jumping from rooftop to rooftop, running walls, and using zip lines.
The game received generally positive reviews and developed a fan base that helped reboot 2016’s Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, which gave Faith an all-new origin story.
