It looks like IGN published their article on LEGO 2K Drive before the official reveal was supposed to happen tomorrow as their article shows 404 error. Anyway, the important information is that the open-world racing game LEGO 2K Drive is coming to the Nintendo Switch, and the game’s official release date is Friday, May 19th. The game features different biomes, kind of like the classic Diddy Kong Racing on the Nintendo 64 and has single player and online multiplayer modes and has an actual story mode, again like Diddy Kong Racing. There’s also a fun-sounding co-op mode and classic split-screen multiplayer. Players can create any vehicle they want with over 1,000 unique LEGO pieces available to use. There will be three different versions available for purchase at launch:
- Standard edition ($69.99 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, $59.99 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC)
- A great release ($99.99) – Includes a new vehicle, vehicle skin, in-game minifigure, and first year pass
- Awesome Rivals edition ($119.99) – Includes multiple vehicles, a vehicle style, multiple in-game minifigures, and a first year driving pass.
Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a trailer, but when it does, I’ll add it to the article.
