Betrayal at Club Low just won the Seumas Mcnally Award at the 2023 Independent Games Festival Awards, beating out some great competition from Immortal, Neon White, Off-Broadcast, The Case of the Golden Idol, and The Robe.

It joins a star-studded collection of indie greats like Her Tales, The Wilderness, Minecraft, and Return of Obradin. The ceremony takes place ahead of the Developers’ Choice Awards, which will announce their own winners later today.

Watch the betrayal trailer for Club Low here!

It’s a killer lineup, with some really good indie titles remaining in the Honorable Mentions section, including Citizen Sleep and Terra Nil, among others. All finalists, as well as honorable mention finalists, have booths at GDC where attendees can play for a full week.

The Seumas Mcnally Award isn’t the only award given out by the Independent Games Festival. You can find the full list of winners below:

  • Best Student Game – Slider
  • Superior Audio – Forest Quartet
  • Design Excellence——Golden Idol Case
  • Superior Narrative – Immortal
  • Visual Art Excellence – RPG Age: The Wright Saga
  • Nuovo Awards – Betrayal at Club Low
  • Audience Award – Potionomics

What do you think of the result? Do you think one of the other nominees should win, or is another indie game just an honorable mention? Maybe even one not included at all? (Among Us Arena) Tell us below!
