If you’re reading this, you’re no doubt eager to jump into Leon and Ashley’s brand new adventure in Resident Evil 4 Remake. How can I blame you? After all, this is an excellent retelling of the original 2005 game.
That said, players can start playing the game in a matter of hours, officially Released tomorrow, March 24th. However, Can you preinstall Resident Evil 4 Remake? When can you play in your area? We’ve got you covered.
Resident Evil 4 Remake preload time
If you plan to play Resident Evil 4 Remake on any of its platforms (Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC), you can preload the game right before it launches.
Be sure to plan ahead if you want to launch the game at launch, because You will install the whole 67GB. Those with slower connections will want to join as soon as possible.
Resident Evil 4 Remake release date
As for when Resident Evil 4 Remake will be released, the news is mixed.
For those of you playing on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5, the game will launch at midnight on March 24th, regardless of your time zone. As a result, some lucky people will be able to play the game earlier than others!
The same is true for those of you playing on Xbox Series X/S, but as you probably know by now, you can change your Xbox’s time zone to access games earlier. Be careful if you plan to do this, though; players trying to access Modern Warfare 2 early have been warned of being locked out.
For those jumping onto PC, it’s not immediately obvious when Resident Evil 4 Remake will be released, as it varies by region. The following times have been confirmed by Capcom staff via ResetEra.
- Europe, Japan, Oceania and Rest of Asia – March 24 at 5pm PDT
- Americas – March 23 at 9pm PDT
For UK players, this is the midnight release on March 24th. For players in Europe, Japan, Oceania, and the rest of Asia, the game will be released to you in your local time zone equivalent to 5pm PDT.
For players across the US, the game will launch at 9pm PDT in your region! For example, if you’re in Orlando, Florida, the game will launch at midnight on March 23rd.
