We’ve spent some time in the Diablo 4 Early Access beta and with the next beta approaching, knowing which class to start with is a pretty big decision. Each class has its own perks, abilities, and attack style, which makes the decision even harder.
Based on our time in the Early Access Beta, we’ve put together this best class tier list for diablo 4.
Diablo 4 Beta Class Tier List, Best Ranked Classes
There are five classes to choose from, and each has distinct attack styles and abilities that should be considered before choosing the right one for you.
As with many things in Diablo 4, your personal preference is a big factor in deciding which class is best to use. If you prefer to switch between ranged and close combat, you might prefer the Rogue. If you like to get up close with magic attacks, Sorcerer might be the one for you.
However, for our Diablo 4 tier list, we’ve taken a look at each class’s individual base qualities to see which ones we think are best for taking on whatever this world has to throw at you, and ranked them from best to best. worse.

Wizard
The wizard can control the elements and turn them into vicious defensive or offensive attacks. There’s something quite elegant about being able to conjure an element to blast away a horde of demonic enemies who dare approach you. Even with their base stats, they are a force to be reckoned with.
Whether it’s raining shards of ice or watching a lightning bolt of your own creation slash through multiple enemies at once, the Sorcerer is great for multiple types of combat and, so far, deserves to be the best class in Diablo 4.
Thug
The Rogue class excels in its ability to switch seamlessly between ranged and close combat. When you’re caught in the middle of a horde of demons, or a swarm of ghouls pursuing you relentlessly, the Red’s dual-wielding weapons are an easy escape.
If you prefer to keep your distance from waves of demons, you can engage from afar with the ranged weapon you carry. Overall, the Rouge class is good if you like having multiple combat options. Additionally, the base build you start with is a solid base to create a more powerful character.
Druid
The Druid class wasn’t available in the early access beta, but we’ve seen enough to believe it deserves this spot on our tier list. The Druid can influence powerful elements of nature, including wind and storms, to bring down enemies, leaving them vulnerable to further attacks.
If that wasn’t enough, they can also transform into intimidating animals such as a bear or wolf to tear apart demons.
Barbaric
The Barbarian class is pretty much a smash and destroy class, but that’s why it’s so fun to play. Plus, they excel at crowd control, meaning being swallowed by a horde of demons will be the least of your worries.
With multiple weapons, battle cries, and the ability to smash the ground to knock down approaching enemies, the Barbarian is a great class to get if you want to be in the thick of the action.
Necromancer
This class was also not available in the early access beta, and little is known about the exact qualities of this class. We know that the necromancer can control the undead and can use blood, bone and shadow to inflict pain on anyone who crosses paths with them.
With the Necromancer, it looks like you’ll have the chance to fight fire with fire, or demons with undead, and it could make for an interesting battle.
