Why is the spell so popular? The revelation spell in Hogwarts Legacy is cast about 37,000 times per second (!). No wonder, after all, players want to discover all the secrets of the magic school – and Revelio helps with that.
Manual pages, secret doors, interactive objects, chests – all highlighted as if by Geralt’s witchcraft. That was the birth of Revelio spamming.
Shortly after the release, the first memes appeared and showed how meticulously the community searches the game for hidden Easter Eggs and collectibles. And we, too, have to take a good look at our own noses.
In addition to self-deprecating comments like »So that’s per player, right?« the community also reacts with criticism. Reddit user Quality-Controller
As much as I love this game, this is nothing to be proud of. Having to cast Revelio so often is a bad and annoying design choice.
Of course, Hogwarts Legacy isn’t the only game to suffer from the “yellow mark” syndrome. In the GameStar podcast, Géraldine, Micha and Dimi discuss how far player management should go and why the problem actually goes much deeper. Revelio Podcast Player!

Do you find it helpful to discover hidden secrets? Or rather annoying because all interactive objects are marked directly? Write it to us in the comments!
