In Steel Defier, play as a prisoner locked in a labyrinthine spaceship. After a nasty malfunction, everyone but you is dead and you can leave your cell. Problem, the number of rooms separating you from the exit is about forty, and the anti-escape security systems (deadly, of course) are still active. In every room!
And here we make a reflex game in which we put the entire gameplay on dodging and anticipation according to the traps encountered. Sometimes massive, sometimes small, motionless or appearing out of nowhere, any of them will eliminate you on first contact. Luckily, the respawn is instant, and even if the sequences are different, the goal always remains the same. You must collect 15 access cards at each table to disable the security systems and advance to the next area. Simple and efficient.
Browse all the tables on offer and get all the upgrades that will make your task a lot easierit took me a little over thirty minutes to go through the title from start to finish. If you’re aiming for 1000G, just getting the 50 keys in “Survival” mode may cause you trouble, but it highly depends on your skill. Even if Steel Defier is far from unforgettable, I still enjoyed this little jail trip…even though I hadn’t been in there long.
