The new free Xbox Games with Gold games for April 2023 have been officially announced by Microsoft. No wonder, these are still rather confidential titles with an award-winning TV series in the mix.
Though it’s lost some of its luster over the years, Microsoft is continuing with its Xbox Games With Gold program. As of October 2022, the offer has become even less attractive after removing two retro games from the Xbox 360 era: the formula has changed from four games to just two, which often doesn’t resonate with subscribers. Regardless, the Redmond company continues its momentum by highlighting more confidential titles that are nonetheless appreciated most of the time. Will this also be the case for the April 2023 Xbox Games With Gold games?
Free Xbox Games with Gold for April 2023
Microsoft has introduced new free games for Xbox Games With Gold subscribers. A staple a few years ago, the program is now completely eclipsed by Xbox Game Pass. However, members can still claim two new titles each month as part of their Xbox Live Glod or XGP Ultimate subscription. For the month of April 2023, the Redmond-based company will offer two more independent productions, both of which have been fairly well received. No need to prolong the suspense, Xbox Games With Gold March 2023 games are therefore:
- Out of Space: Couch Edition (April 1st to 30th)
- Peaky Blinders: Mastermind (April 16 to May 15)
Out of Space Couch Edition
Multiplayer co-op strategy game, both online and local. In this title from the Xbox Games With Gold series, you live with your roommates in a spaceship. You have to generate resources, recycle your garbage and develop new technologies to face the alien attack. Upgrade your gear and ship, furnish your home, complete daily quests and survive the whims of your roommates. A title that relies on a random generation of levels to guarantee different games each time, and catchy enough to make you unlock achievements to get new content.
Peaky Blinders mastermind
Adaptation of the famous series of the same name, this Xbox Games With Gold free game is presented as an adventure and strategy title in which you’ll have to carry out perfectly synchronized plans by playing as Peaky Blinders. The game takes place before the events of season one and lets you play as six members of the Shelby family. All will have their own strengths and weaknesses, allowing for example bribing a police officer or simply using brute force. A title that lets you move forward or backward in time, challenging you to use the right character wisely at the right time to solve puzzles.
