The journey through the world of Roadwarden continues in 2023, but has changed optically: Windy Meadow – A Roadwarden Tale sends you into the life of a small fantasy town in the world founded by the predecessor. Here you will accompany three characters through a crucial part of their lives.
The game is described by the publisher as a visual novel, i.e. a playable novel that has many everyday quiet moments, but can also take dramatic turns.

How will the game inspire?
The core functions of Windy Meadow – A Roadwarden Tale are:
- Dialogue accounts for 99 percent of all text, which are presented through animated character portraits. The quasi-predecessor still relied on classic narration in book form.
- There will be three protagonists:
- Huntress Venawho is tempted to leave peaceful village life and her beloved family behind to become part of a merchant guild in pursuit of riches.
- Fablewho dreams of one day being a famous bard.
- The herbalist Ludiciawho is struggling with a decision in her past that still casts her shadow today.
- Decisions: You accompany the three of them through their everyday lives, from seemingly tiny moments to life changes that appear at first glance. Your decisions should help determine dialogue options, feelings of NPCs and the end of the game.
