MultiVersus Beta End Date: When Will MultiVersus Go Offline?
According to a recent post on the MultiVersus FAQ page, the game will be taken offline on Sunday, June 25.
All online modes will be unavailable from now on, only the training room and local matches will be kept live. You will still be able to access your characters and cosmetics during this time.
Exact MultiVersus offline times have yet to be revealed. We will update this page when more information appears.
When does MultiVersus come back online?
We do not yet know the exact release date of the full version of MultiVersus. So far, the developer has said it’s aiming for an “early 2024” release window, when a full version of MultiVersus will launch. We’ll likely hear more about what this updated build will look like as the release window gets closer.
As of now, there’s no information on what it will offer, only that all of your characters, cosmetics, and progress will actually carry over to the full version at launch. This includes unused Gleamium, Battle Pass Tokens, Character Tickets, and any other in-game items.
Why is MultiVersus disconnecting?
In short, MultiVersus goes offline at the end of June because its beta period ends. The game hasn’t fully released yet, so the developer intends to pull it out, so they can work on getting it properly launched next year. This is explained in the previously mentioned FAQ section:
“The MultiVersus Open Beta was an important learning opportunity and a stepping stone to the next phase of the game. There is still a lot of work to do and we have a clearer view of what we need to focus on, especially on content cadence new characters, maps, and modes to provide more ways to enjoy the game, as well as netcode and matchmaking improvements.”
“We will also be reworking the progression system and researching new ways for players to connect with in-game friends. To do this the right way, we will be shutting down the MultiVersus Open Beta on June 25, 2023. As part of this process, we will pause updates and take the game offline while we prepare for the launch of MultiVersus, which we are aiming for in early 2024.”
Note that no refund are offered to those who paid for in-game items during the MultiVersus beta. After Tuesday, April 4, Gleamium will also be removed from the game.
Be sure to download MultiVersus before Sunday, June 25 if you haven’t tried it yet, as you won’t be able to find it on storefronts after that date, even to play offline modes.
