Mario Kart is a legend in 2020's most popular car racing games. It was one of the flagship games that came to Super Nintendo in 1992, and last year it was redesigned with the Mario Kart Tour, this time with Android and iOS mobile devices.

Nintendo has been testing for many months of multiplayer, and has just announced that We can compete against our friends in real time from next week.

Good news for Mario game lovers and their friends.

Nintendo announced last night that the Mario Kart Tour for iOS will receive a new update next week. What's new is that the multiplayer mode has been added in real time. Since December it is beta testing, and will finally be available to all users starting March 8.

There will be three types of multiplayer

There will be three different ways to play online:

  • With other players nearby: Choose your own rules and race with your closest friends. The rules don't change.
  • General races: Compete with players from all over the world to increase your level with the rules that change daily. Two sets of rules change daily.
  • Gold Races: Only available to MKT Gold Pass subscribers. Compete against the best to get the highest grade. There are four rules that change daily.

Starting in December, these three options can be played in the beta version of the game, but are limited to Gold Pass subscribers. Starting next week will launch the final game for all users. "Gold Races Only" limited to users with Gold Pass.

Gold Pass is a monthly subscription to all Mario Kart Tour "Premium" items, priced at 5.49 Euros per month. You can download it for free from the App Store.
