Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers will get a new game next week, and it’s an N64 title Pokémon Arena.
Released in 2000, it was one of the best-selling Nintendo 64 games, selling 1 million copies by the end of its release year.
Pokemon Stadium is a strategy and sequel to the 1998 Nintendo 64 version of Pocket Monsters’ Stadium, which was released in Japan only in 1998. The game features a 3D turn-based combat system using the 151 Pokémon from the Game Boy game Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow.
In the game, you can go solo in four 3v3 tournament cups with a team of 6 Pokemon of your choice in Stadium Mode. You can also fight eight elite trainers and four elites from Kanto in Gym Master Castle Mode. Winning in either of these two modes will secure a place for your champion team in the Victory Palace.
It also features adversarial multiplayer battles in a single to four-player free battle mode. In the Kids Club, you and three other players can participate in nine different mini-games such as Clefairy Says, Magikarp’s Splash and Sushi-Go-Round.
Pokemon Stadium will launch on April 12.
