Over the past few weeks, several users have found themselves with a maximum limit of files to upload to Google Drive. A news that was not communicated by Google, but it now seems that the same has rectified removing this imposed limit.

Just yesterday, news broke about the maximum number of files that can be uploaded to Google Drive. And it is that it did not even matter if you had a subscription to some of the Google Drive plans so that at that precise moment when you reached the limit you would be prevented.
There reason behind this limit This is to keep Google’s cloud storage service stable and optimized for performance. The tech giant took to Twitter to announce the reversal and thus remove said limit.

Now he works, according to Engadget, to be able to ensure stable performance for all users and dropped that this limit only affected a very small number of them.
The problem lies in the fact that this limit was imposed without any kind of official communication from the company, only until several users exceeded it, we had proof of this.

This limit affected even users paying the most expensive subscription, so it didn’t matter if you had 2TB or just 200GB in this plan, you went from 5 million files downloaded (shares weren’t counted) and you literally ran out of space.
What happened here was that Google didn’t communicate that there was a file limit and users had to test the maximum number of files to upload on their own flesh. It also seems quite odd when other cloud solutions don’t impose a file limit, although they may not reach Google’s capacity and Google needs to address the performance issue some other way.
