In the game, the demon Lilith is at war with the angel Inaris. With the Vault infested with demons, you can choose to save it as one of five classes – Druid, Rogue, Sorceress, Barbarian, or Necromancer.
Making its debut in the Diablo universe is the Overworld, where you’ll drive out the demons of hell and travel through different areas such as Fractured Peaks, Scosglen, Hawezar, Dry Steppes, and Kehjistan. It has 140 dungeons, side quests, and tons of loot, and world bosses will appear, forcing you to defeat them in droves for a chance at loot. There are also strongholds that can be claimed for citizens of Sanctuary.
It features an end game system where you continue to grow in power through challenges, and Helltide, a recurring event that brings a surge of demonic activity. It also features challenging Nightmare dungeons, an updated Paragon Board system, Whispers of the Dead granting World Bounty Legendary rewards, and aggro realms to build PvP.
Upon release, Diablo 4 will feature cross-platform play and progression, as well as couch co-op on consoles at launch.
