Dead Island 2’s spoiler-free trophy list announced

Shared exclusively with the folks at TrueTrophies, Deep Silver Dambuster has revealed a curated, spoiler-free list of trophies for the upcoming Dead Island 2.

Nearly a decade after it was first revealed, Dead Island 2 will finally be in players’ hands on April 21st. The sequel is set 10 years after the events of the first game, in sunny Los Angeles after the zombie outbreak.

The trophy list itself omits any story-related trophies so as not to spoil any fun for eager fans. That means the list is mostly made up of miscellaneous trophies, side quests, and other fun activities. That said, the list does suggest that co-op is a must for those looking to go platinum on PlayStation; completing any five missions in co-op will unlock Killer Squad.

Some other standout, fun achievements on the list include “Donk!” rewarded after throwing a melee weapon and hitting a zombie from a distance of 35+ meters. There’s also “Zombicidal Maniac,” which you’ll earn after completing the first tier of each combat challenge, and “Hazardous Materials,” rewarded for successfully killing 100 zombies with corrosive, fire, or electric damage.

All in all, omitting the story-related achievements, it’s a solid trophy list for completionists. With an estimated runtime of around 20 hours, those aiming for platinum may find themselves needing a few extra hours of gameplay.
