It wasn’t a long wait, but ‘The Expendables’ is finally available as a free DLC and it’s a fun action packed game mode. However, not everything that came with this addition is good. Along with The Expendables mode, Resident Evil 4 Remake also received a dozen microtransactions: the weapon upgrade tickets.
This game already had paid DLC. After buying it, we can pay a few extra pesos for costumes for Leon, Ashley, new weapons and a treasure map. The difference is that the new microtransactions of Resident Evil 4 Remake They are consumable items.
These items, which can also be earned through gameplay, can be exchanged in the vendor shop for an upgrade to any weapon at any time, regardless of weapon level.
We can buy up to six weapon improvement tickets to Resident Evil 4 Remakeeach for $14,300 Colombian pesos (on Steam and Xbox, on PlayStation it is priced in dollars) or four packages of three tickets for $30,100 pesos.
The reaction of the players to the microtransactions of Resident Evil 4 Remake
The truth is that this addition has not been liked by a part of the gaming community, who have expressed their discontent on social networks and forums. One only has to look at the responses to whistleblower Wario64’s tweet announcing the news to see how poorly it was received..
Something that has particularly upset the community is that these microtransactions were unannounced and came after the game was reviewed and well received. We gave it a fairly high rating in our review.. Would we have given it a lower grade if we had discovered these microtransactions while playing the game? It’s possible.
