App updates are very important, because they add new features, correct errors and improve security. But sometimes, there are some negative reviews that break many of the fixes.
Something similar has suffered by Google in recent days, as Chrome and Gboard have begun to give errors in their latest versions. For many, these errors are usually an indication to leave the system and change, but there is an easy way to continue enjoying the program, and it's as easy as going back to the previous version.
How to return to the previous version of the application
One of the main problems with the Google Play Store is its inability to go back to previous versions of the app, because it will always give us the last available (or pultimate, if the last one is in the installation phase), so we'll have to do a series of steps.
The first would be to uninstall the app (or uninstall updates if the app was previously uninstalled). Remember that by following this step you can get rid of any non-synced data, so proceed carefully.
- We're turning to settings.
- Click on apps.
- We're looking for the application you want.
- We choose Release If it is not an automated request. If it were an app for our mobile phone, we would press ellipsis and press Uninstall Update.
Block automatic updates on Google Play
The next step is to disable automatic updates, to prevent the Google Play Store from reinstalling the unwanted version on our mobile device.
- Let's go to Google Play
- We search through our applications.
- We select an application that we want to prevent from automatically updating.
- Press the ellipsis in the upper right corner.
- Not checked Automatically refresh
Download the previous version of the application
Since Google Play will not be able to access the version that has gone well for us, here you will need to access applications through other stores or app scripts.
GBoard at UpToDown.
UpToDown's favorite store, from which it has access to the latest version of the app, but also offers us the chance to install non-latest versions. Shop for complete reliability.
GBoard on APKMirror.
One that we highly recommend APKMirror, this time is not the store, but rather the app's content with the most popular applications and the biggest version of history.
