Luckily, just like with Google Assistant, you can delete all those audio files so they aren’t recorded, and you can even automatically delete future recordings.
How to Delete All Alexa Audio Files
Each time you make a request in Alexa, the virtual assistant records it in a completely transparent way, and offers you the ability to delete all records, as well as for you to set up a recurring deletion for these files:
- Open Alexa and tap More in the bottom bar.
- Tap Settings, then tap Alexa Privacy.
- Click Check Voice History.
- Tap Delete All Records.
If you look closely, in this section you can see both the transcribed request that you made and the response that the assistant gave you, in addition to being able to perform a filter to see the recordings according to the time and the Alexa profile.
In addition, there is a marker in which the platform asks you if Alexa has correctly answered your question, so You can give your opinion on each of the requests in a concrete way.
To automatically delete Alexa recordings, all you have to do is go back and click Manage your Alexa data, where you’ll find a section to select how long these recordings should be kept.
