Joseph Staten leaves Xbox after helping develop Halo Infinite.
Joseph Staten, creative director of Halo Infinite and cinematographic director for the first three Halo games, is leaving Microsoft, the company confirmed to IGN. After working at Bungie since 1998, Staten joined Microsoft Studios (now known as Xbox Game Studios) as artistic director 2014.
Microsoft said goodbye with the following message on social media: “We are grateful to Joseph for his contribution to the Halo franchise and to Xbox as a whole. We wish him the best in this new adventure.

Staten has long been one of the most recognizable names in the Halo franchise, having directed the cinematics of Halo: Advanced Combat, Halo 2 and Halo 3in addition to being the lead author of Destiny at Bungie.
