Not long ago I was telling you about the new update that includes the free launch of The Mercenaries mode, there was one detail that we overlooked in this house, and that is the inclusion of microtransactions for upgrade weapons in exchange for real money. These tickets are available on PlayStation Store and New Zealand Xbox Store, and allow players to access exclusive perks for their weapons, such as increased damage, increased rate of fire, and increased ammo capacity. I missed this part because of the substantial improvement in the fps patch introduced by the update.
The operation is neither new, nor exclusive, nor innovative, you can buy a single ticket or choose one of the many ticket packages available in store. Although these tickets can be obtained in-game by collecting spinels, the in-game currency, some players may choose to purchase tickets with real money to speed up the process and unlock the perks of their favorite weapon from more convenient way. . A pay to win in its own right.
Pay to win, but not much…
I have to point out that although ticket sales, although it is a form of microtransaction, it is not the most abusive that exists in the industry. Like I said before, you can get spinels just completed in-game missions, so you don't need to spend real money to buy these upgrades. Additionally, it's impossible to max out all weapons in a single game turn, so you'll have to choose wisely how you want to spend your credits.
