Not all Destiny 2 players are happy with the latest expansion, with Bungie admitting it “missed the mark” in places.
While Destiny 2: Lightfall is clearly the much-anticipated expansion for the online shooter, not every fan is happy with the results. As Bungie noted in a new blog post discussing the release of Lightfall, despite all the criticism, the expansion still brought in “the most concurrent players in years” and more new players than last time. The Witch Queen of Users, Returning Users, and Daily Active User Years. However, in the same post, Bungie also admitted that it “missed some of our goals and needed to be updated based on constructive feedback.”
In turn, Bungie will be making some tweaks to hopefully smooth things out, writing that it “refines the goals of the seasonal reset. Players should be able to represent what they’ve achieved throughout the season, and those who have previously completed Guardian levels One should be able to quickly update this ranking next season.”
Explaining how this will actually be reflected in the game, the post says “When a new season starts, the rank you display to everyone will reflect the highest rank you achieved last season, if you achieve a higher rank than last season, it will will be your new number displayed.”
The game is also experiencing “the greatest difficulty retuning the Destiny series since The Taken King”, but due to this change, certain areas of the game have become prone to unexpected behavior, but a series of changes are being made to help this is the 20th Part of the mid-season patch, you can read the full details in the blog post.
