She is a member Famiboard forum claiming to be an investigative journalist has reportedly learned that Nintendo has been busy working on a Paper Mario: Thousand-Year Door remaster for the Nintendo Switch platform. The user says that he has previously submitted verified rumors to various YouTube channels, but stayed in the background because he doesn’t like attention. The user says he has been in contact with three sources regarding the Paper Mario remaster. This is always a rumor and nothing has been announced by Nintendo.
“As some of you know, I do hobby journalism behind the scenes and investigate various things for fun. Some accurate Nintendo rumors reported by YouTubers and other sites in the past were partially based on my research. Like I said, I don’t like attention and so I’ve always asked everyone to keep me private, which I intend to keep private in these stories.
However, now I have something super excited that I’m aware of. Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door Remaster is finally happening and coming out soon!
I have been in contact with 3 sources regarding this. One of them referred me to a third source, with whom I had not communicated before, so I just cold-messaged them on LinkedIn. Since this third source doesn’t want to confirm the release date I’ve heard from the previous two sources, I’ll leave it as “coming soon.”
I have privately informed @NintendoPrime and @NateDrake about this. There is one other person that I have informed but wishes to remain anonymous.
Personally, I’ve always wanted a TTYD remaster. I’ve never played it on GCN so I’m over the moon to finally be playing it on Switch soon.”
