Movie Super Mario Bros. was nothing short of a success for Illumination and Nintendo. In fact, all signs point to the film being more successful than fans expected. The film could very well win awards in the future. One of them could be Oscar.
That’s because Universal confirmed to Variety that Bowser’s song in the film, “Peaches,” could be submitted for an Oscar. If so, she would be in the running for “Best Original Song”. The song was recently reworked in a music video and published on YouTube. not only did it reach #2 in popular music on the site, but the video surpassed 5,000,000 views.
