Since the release in September 2020, Genshin Impact has also enjoyed great popularity in Germany. Of course, new content always wants to be added, and developer Mihoyo is no slouch on this point. Now the update to version 3.6 is about to start, which will start the Gathering of Enlightenment.
Jokes about Genshin Impact are made easy. It uses the cheapest gacha mechanics and primarily appeals to Japanophile gamers and anime fans. But you can’t joke away how much success developer Mihoyo has with the title. Since the release in September 2020, the free-to-play has enjoyed great popularity.

The continuous stream of fresh content is probably not entirely innocent. With the update to version 3.6, the Gathering of Enlightenment will start shortly. It will be available on the servers from April 12, 2023 and offers a total of three events:
- April 13: Mixture and development
- April 21: The roar of wind and sand
- April 27: Gathering of Enlightenment
- April 29: Escalation mode
The update also brings a new area for Genshin Impact. This is located in the Sumerian desert and is called “Abandoned Land in the Sands”. With the help of mysterious crystals and a dragon, you should turn this deserted wasteland back into fertile land.
Of course there are also new characters for the gacha system. The 5-star character Baizhu fights with a catalyst. Kaveh, on the other hand, is a 4-star character and uses the Dendro element and two-handed swords.
They will be available during the event banners, which of course are again divided into two phases. The first runs from April 12th to May 2nd and features the following characters:
- Banner 1: “Enlightenment of the Moongrass” – Nahida (5S), Kuki Shinobo (4S), Dori (4S) and Layla (4S)
- Banner 2: “Wirbelnder Lotos” – Nilou(5S), Kuki Shinobo (4S), Dori (4S) und Layla (4S)
