Studio Ascendant is currently working on its debut, Immortals of Aveum, which will be released under the EA Originals label. The big trick of the shooter: instead of bullets, you hit your opponent with magic. So far there has been precious little to see about the title, that will change this week.
If Ascedant Studios doesn’t tell you anything, you probably don’t have a clue about Immortals of Aveum either. There is definitely a big name behind the games company. In the past, for example, CEO and creative director Bret Robbins played a key role in the first Dead Space and he also put his stamp on three Call of Duty parts.

Immortals of Aveum also hits the shooter notch, but wants to stand out from the competition with one decisive fact. You don’t shoot around with classic assault rifles and other ball-powered killing tools, you use magic instead.
So far, only Robbins, his team and the publishers of EA Originals know exactly what that looks like. When the game awards were announced, there was a small announcement trailer, but the developers still owed us the gameplay. This situation will change this week, on April 13th at 6:00 p.m. German time, Ascendant Studios wants to reveal the first game scenes for Immortals of Aveum. It is also conceivable that we will get a release date next Thursday. At least a recent leak suggested that the shooter will be released on July 20, 2023. Of course, nothing is official yet, but the information seems to come from a reliable source. But what we do know for sure is that Immortals of Aveum will be coming to PC, Xbox Series X/S and the PlayStation 5.
