It’s been almost two years since Ubisoft first introduced us to a new free competitive shooter called XDefiantwhich combined Tom Clancy brand games with a ‘punk’ aesthetic. We strongly criticize this idea. It’s been so long that we thought the game had been cancelled, but here it is again. XDefiant with a new style, factions, maps and more.
this will remain a free first person shooter game with six vs six matches. The characters we can team up with no longer just come from Tom Clancy-inspired games, but from all Ubisoft worlds. It also left behind the ‘punk’ aesthetic in favor of a modern military style. It fits much better, but it’s generic and makes the game less characterful.
Factions, weapons and equipment
The factions, each with different abilities and ‘ultras’, are: Echelon,of Splinter Cell; Cleanersinspired by The Division; DedSecthe hackers of Watch_Dogs; Liberty, the guerrilla Far Cry 6; y ghostsformer members of the Ghosts of Ghost Recon.
DedSec will not be available initially and will have to be unlocked by playing. Ubisoft has suggested that they will add more factions in future updates and seasons.
At its release, XDefiant It will have 24 different weapons and 40 attachments for them. The idea is that we combine the abilities of a faction with weapons and accessories to create a style of play to our liking.

Game modes and maps
At its release, XDefiant will have 14 mapssome inspired by Ubisoft games like Far Cry 6, The Division y Watch_Dogs. As for the modes, we have some arena type of territory control such as “Domination” and “Occupation” and others to eliminate enemies such as “Hot shots” which is similar to ‘Baja confirmed’.
There will also be linear modes such as “Escort” and “Zone Control”, in which a defending team will face an attacking team.

XDefiant it will be a free game as a service
This will not be a surprise to anyone. XDefiant it will have a new season every three months in which there will be new content such as factions, maps, weapons, accessories, cosmetics, events and a battle pass.
