From the beginning of June, Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo IV should cause a sensation – and anyone who gets involved in the action role-playing game should have plenty of time. The developers have now revealed how long the regular Battle Passes should keep you busy.
The Diablo series has always been a time-consuming series of games because several players keep grinding through dungeons to level up their characters and equip them with fresh loot. The new Diablo IV is now the crowning glory thanks to the Battle Pass model, because apparently you will be able to spend an insane amount of time with it.
The Battle Pass is now a widespread model in the gaming business; There is usually a free and a paid version. The longer you play, the more levels you can climb as part of a Battle Pass and thus secure in-game content. This will also be the case with Diablo IV if there is a new Battle Pass every quarter as part of the respective seasons. However, to really complete one is not an easy task.
In an interview with the English-speaking PC Gamer the creators now confirm that you will need around 80 hours to complete a seasonal Battle Pass in its entirety. However, this time can vary somewhat, since there are also XP boosts, for example, which are intended to enable faster progress. The bottom line is that there is still a significant investment of time per quarter to complete a Battle Pass.
In general, you have to keep in mind that leveling up characters will also take a lot of time. Blizzard itself states that 80 hours will usually not be enough to reach the maximum level 100 with a character; as a rule, that alone will take “a little longer” – depending on the style of play.
Diablo IV will be released on June 6, 2023 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
