Ready to time travel a few decades? We invite you to go back to the 1990s and 2000s, when the internet was born in the eyes of the general public, just to see if you still have memories!
Internet and its spread in the 1990s
Today we’re talking about a time that the under-20s can’t (or almost) know. Of course, our quiz of the week is a lot easier to understand if you grew up in the ’80s or ’90s and were lucky – or unlucky, as the case may be – to live to see the early days of the internet. And also in the beginning, the race for just about everything that goes with it: browsers, search engines, access providers, instant messaging and other antivirus programs. All of these industries have fought for victory for a good two decades. Some companies have evolved, survived and are still at the top today, such as Microsoft or Apple. Others have sunk and disappeared from the landscape or have been bought up and no longer have anything to do with the services of the time.
And that’s what we’re going to talk about today, because the following quiz is almost exclusively about brands, sites or even software from the 90s and 2000s that no longer exist today (or really in a completely different form than back then).

Bottom Line: If you’re on the It Used To Be Better team, you have a good chance of being a hit or being a hit on this quiz. If not, you’ve probably never heard of some of the entities featured in the 10 questions. But nostalgia never hurts on a sunny weekend.
