We told you about it a little earlier this year, just under a month ago Microsoft seriously planned to investigate the case of The Bergson’s Games Studios (TBGS) and its game in particular One step after the fall. Another overflow of the achievement system that was quickly brought to light by the community.
Reality check: right after self-publishing One step after the fall, a game of bewildering lightness, TBGS released an update that added 1000G to the title, alongside a PC version that benefited from the same generosity. Additions very quickly followed two versions available on each support in two different languages but already present in the base game, German and Spanish. However, since the games are absolutely identical, each iteration brings 2000G within gamers’ reach within minutes. ChrisChat
Look no further for these controversial releases, they have been removed from the Xbox Store.
TBGS had clearly indicated in the past that it wanted to provide new versions of its title, as well as additional updates, for as long as possible, but action has clearly been taken. We don’t currently know if this reversal is the result of a change in Studio policy or an injunction from Microsoft.
The original Xbox game and its Windows version are unaffected and will continue to be listed in the store.
