The handy projector XGIMI MoGo 2 Pro is ideal for use on the go. Here you can find out what you have to pay attention to so that the projector works without a socket in the forest.
The new XGIMI MoGo 2 Pro is a projector that primarily wants to score points with mobility. And it’s true: The device is hardly larger than a pickle jar, extremely light and can be set up anywhere in no time at all and also easily stowed away again.
The basic prerequisite for this, however, is that there is a socket within reach – because XGIMI has actually dispensed with a built-in battery in the decidedly light projector. Nevertheless, mobile operation of the MoGo 2 Pro is possible – because instead of the mains cable, a power bank can also be connected as a power source via USB-C.
Netzwelt explains step by step how you can operate the XGIMI MoGo 2 Pro via a power bank and what you have to look out for when purchasing the additional hardware.
Choosing the right power bank
The XGIMI MoGo 2 Pro is powered by its power supply with 20 volts (V) and a current of 3.25 amperes (A). When purchasing a power bank for mobile use, you have to make sure that the external battery has the appropriate performance characteristics.
The total charge of the power bank in milliampere hours (mAh) does not play a significant role. If you connect a power bank that is too weak, you simply cannot switch on the XGIMI MoGo 2 Pro. Your power bank must therefore meet the minimum voltage and current requirements stated on the sticker under the base.
You can find out which power banks are suitable for mobile use according to the manufacturer XGIMI on the linked Manufacturer’s help page read. If the electrical output of the power bank is 65 watts or less, XGIMI also recommends operation in power-saving mode (eco mode).
