We’re just days away from the end of the juiciest offer in streaming today: SkyShowtime half price for life. At the moment there are no more plans than the monthly plan, but this will surely change in the near future: the app code says there will be at least one limited and free plan. It remains to be seen in which countries it is distributed and which content this possible free access would include.
With an increasingly saturated supply, the streaming of multimedia content is gradually expanding the means of reaching users. Netflix has managed to offer somewhat cheaper access at the expense of ads, other services prefer Distribute your catalog without putting a tariff barrier on the user
“Unlock Everything, Get SkyShowtime”
We have analyzed the latest SkyShowtime app for Android, reviewing its accesses, the hidden menu that the platform includes in its settings. And we also dive into APK activities by enjoying a mobile with root access. There are clues to a platform free planan option that SkyShowtime does not publicly provide.
Currently, the service only offers 1080p access with a monthly subscription which can be of two types: one at 5.99 dollars if purchased from the application itself (via the Google Play Store or the App Store) and another at half price. as long as the user pays for the subscription from the SkyShowtime website
In the image we obtained from our phone, the application leaves a clear message: SkyShowtime has provided a free access plan which will be limited, surely to a less premium type of content (it may also include advertisements). All users have subscribed to this plan they will be able to subscribe to a premium option to “unblock everything”
We couldn’t start SkyShowtime for free, we accessed the app settings via the “freetier upsell” button (and without logging in). After clicking this button the app loads the current tariff plans; therefore only the monthly of 5.99 dollars is available. The logic is that the platform is waiting for the end of its current aggressive offer: from April 25, it could confirm a wider range of subscriptions. We’ll see if SkyShowtime finally introduces a limited free subscription: the android app is ready for it.
