After success and disappointment with the horror franchise Remothered, Chris Darril is back with Bye Sweet Carole.
2018 came out Remothered: Tormented Fathers, a survival horror that had managed to find its audience without achieving phenomenal success. Unfortunately, the sequel, Remothered: Broken Porcelain, was extremely disappointing. But its creator, Chris Darril, hasn’t given up. So here he is again appalled with Bye, sweet Carolhis brand new game.
Bye Sweet Carole, a promising horror game

A spiritual successor to American McGee’s Alice?
Not much is known about this mysterious Bye Sweet Carole, but the universe is reminiscent of cartoons like Disney’s. Just For Games does not hide it through its communications. But, more personal speculation, the game’s universe might well be inspired Alice in Wonderland. The visual atmosphere has something to do with it, but it’s mainly certain details that alarm us. First, the rabbit emoji used in the tweet. We also find the animal in the “O” of “Carole” on the title of the game: A rabbit with a jacket who is always late, does that mean something to you? By the way, the name alone makes one think of Lewis Carroll, the author of the book. Finally, on the “B” of “Bye” we note the presence of a top hat reminiscent of that of the Mad Hatter.
So you could imagine a universe with that Alice in Wonderland. But since the game is awful, this universe could well turn into a nightmare. A bit like what American McGee did with Alice: Madness Returns and its predecessor. The third opus was finally buried by EA. Could Bye Sweet Carole be the long-awaited spiritual successor? Or are we just really bad at iGamesNews theories? Tell us what you think in the comments section!
