Nintendo independent world show It aired last night, showcasing a dozen interesting indie games coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2023. indie game.

So, if you’re looking for any hope of Hollow Knight: The Silk Song coming out this summer, I sadly have to tell you that no, it’s not on the showcase. That said, the many other games on display may tide you over until we finally receive an update from Silksong one day.

Check out Mineko’s Night Market, showcased in the Indie World Showcase, right here.

You can watch the Indie World Showcase on Nintendo’s website, but for those of you who like to read roundups, I’ve got you covered.

my time at sandrock

An adventure RPG set in a post-apocalyptic world (the same world as My Time at Portia), My Time at Sandrock has finally been ported to the Nintendo Switch. You play as a farmer and general repairman in a charming neighborhood and can sneak into the Switch this summer.

calico quilt and cat

You can’t go wrong with a game about cats and cozy blankets. Quilts and Cats of Calico is an adaptation of the board game Calico that tasks you with putting together your own quilt. You’ll also be able to hang out with the cute cats, and the game will be available in single-player or multiplayer when it launches on Switch this fall.

Blasphemy 2

The showcase gave us a closer look at Blasphemous 2 and a more specific look at when it will be released. Coming to Switch in summer 2023, the game will once again thrust us into an endless cycle of life, death, and resurrection. It has a gorgeous pixel art style and tons of scary enemies.

Lamb Worship DLC

Amid all the game announcements, Indie World Showcase also took a moment to announce that one of the best indie games of 2022 – Cult of the Lamb – will be receiving some shiny DLC. The Relics of the Old Faith DLC launches on April 24th and includes a new post-game story, deeper combat, revamped enemies, and more.

Fengzi Night Market

The night market in Mineko looks very whimsical. A narrative-driven social adventure game that celebrates Japanese culture, it’s yet another indie game with lots of cats. What else do you need? Playing as Mineko, you embark on an adventure that uncovers a heartwarming story of friendship, tradition, and intrigue. The game will be available on Switch in 2023.

Dead Dancer’s Rift

Rift of the NecroDancer, the rhythm game spin-off of Crypt of the NecroDancer, is coming to Switch in 2023. The trailer shows off some gross riffs, along with some yoga and burgers. I’d love to see how this turns out!

Bomb Dash Cyberpunk

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is coming to Switch in Summer 2023, so you’ll have all kinds of fun in New Amsterdam. You can dance, doodle, do all kinds of tricks, and even fight the police to the death if you want.

shadow of disgust

Shadows Over Loathing looks like a silly game that isn’t too serious. This black-and-white RPG of stickman characters and goofy doodles is the follow-up to West of Loathing. You’ll be solving the mystery of your missing uncle in this one, but it looks like there’s more to it than that. You can download it now on Nintendo Switch!

crime time

Crime O’Clock is coming to Switch on June 30, letting you prevent and solve crimes in a very unique setting. A black and white puzzle game where you have 40 cases to solve; even better, your decisions in one case can have ripple effects on another. Good luck, Time Detective!

kitty, big city

Yes, there is another cat game on this list. Little Kitty, Big City is exactly what it sounds like; you’re a kitty trying to get home while exploring all that the big city has to offer. Allow yourself to be distracted like a curious kitten as you try to get home.

Oxenfree II: The Lost Signal

You can pre-order Oxenfree II: Lost Signals on Switch right now at a discounted price, and it launches on July 12. Oxenfree II takes place five years after the original game, with Riley returning to her hometown to investigate something strange. As usual, she has endured more on this trip home than she expected.

Escape Academy: Complete Edition

How Escape Academy can fix your escape room on Nintendo Switch. You’ll need to solve puzzles, master locks, hack servers, and meet people around you. The full version of the game also includes the Anti-Escape Island DLC, which sees you trying to escape an island that really doesn’t want you to leave. Escape Academy: The Complete Edition will launch for Nintendo Switch in Fall 2023.
