Diablo 4 public beta to roll out to vandalism servers in May

Beta, Diablo, Public, Roll, servers, vandalism

Blizzard has announced another public beta for Diablo 4, the purpose of which is to test the server infrastructure.

The public beta, dubbed “Server Slam” by Blizzard, will take place May 12-14 at 12:00 PM PT, 3:00 PM ET, 8:00 PM ET, and 1:00 PM CST 9:00. During this time, everyone on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 can join in–you can even couch co-op on console. Cross-play and cross-progression will be enabled for all platforms.

It’s all about testing the servers to make sure the game’s launch goes as smoothly as possible.

Server Slam will contain the prologue and the entirety of Act I. This gives you access to the first area, Fractured Peaks, and you can play as any of five classes.

For those of you who played the game during Early Access and Open Test weekends, you should know that any character progress made during those test weekends will not carry over to Server Slam. Additionally, any character progress made during Server Slam will not carry over to launch.

You’ll level up your character to level 20, after which you’ll no longer receive ability points, but will continue to play and earn gear. Think of it as an exercise before posting.

Legendary item drop rates have been changed to reflect drop rates in the Diablo 4 release version, which includes all recent bug fixes and updates.

Various events will be available, with main quests and side quests in addition to World and Legion events. You’ll also be up against the Ashava, a behemoth with two razor-sharp arm blades, scales stronger than plate armor, and hell bent on tearing you apart.

.

You can fight her starting May 13th at 9AM PT and every three hours thereafter until her last respawn on May 14th at 9AM PT.

You can also earn rewards as you play. Slashing Ashava gives you a new reward, the Shout of the Ashava Mountain Booty. The Early Access and Open Test Weekend rewards are back, giving you the chance to unlock these rewards that you’ll get after Diablo 4 launches.

The titles earned are the Initial Casualty title, earned by a character reaching Kyovashad, and the Early Voyager title, earned by a character reaching level 20. You’ll earn the aforementioned Ashava mount trophy, and a cute wolfpack ornament for a character that reaches level 20. It’s a backpack with a sleeping wolf coyotes on it. Wow!

Diablo 4 will be released on June 6th.
