In yesterday’s live stream for Diablo IV, Blizzard once again revealed some new information. Among other things, the developers expressed something more specific about the PvP mode fields of hate and it will obviously be a tough number.
Yesterday’s live stream for Diablo IV was quite fruitful, there’s no other way to say it. Above all, the surprising announcement of another test weekend caused joy – Blizzard wants to put the servers under pressure again before the launch, so that we hopefully don’t run into major problems from June 6th.
There was also information and statements about the new Diablo IV PvP mode, which is called Fields of Hatred and will be available from the launch. And that will obviously be a tough number. Among other things, it was made clear that PvP in hardcore mode in particular is not for risk-averse players. If you die on hardcore in PvP, you can start a new character – permadeath is the order of the day.
It was also made clear that players are generally not treated with kid gloves in the fields of hate. The fields are not a place of honor, they are a place of slaughter. So when you venture into these places, you must be aware that you are entering a chaotic realm of danger and menace.
Among other things, you have to be prepared that solo players are not immune to being attacked by larger groups. They just want to make certain divisions so that low-level players don’t constantly encounter high-level players. However, the areas are extensive enough that players can also avoid each other to some extent if necessary.
In the Fields of Hatred, you will explore extensive areas that offer not only PvP activities, but also PvE content. There you try to collect so-called shards of hatred and clean them at an altar so that you can keep them. The problem: as soon as you have shards, you are marked as hostile on the map and are therefore a target for other players who want to steal the shards (and your loot) from you.
