What’s new in Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Specifically, after knowing the date of its final DLC among other amiibo figure data, we now have details about a device known as Ex-Devicewhich reacts when a city survivor is nearby and pinpoints their location with sound and light. In this way, the people you rescue will help you on your journey. Also, when you are at a rest point, you can ask Nikol to modify the Ex-Device using various materials thus adding functions that will be useful while exploring the world or in battle. Note that the Ex-Device is not only for locating and rescuing survivors, but can also be used to gather information on undiscovered areas and analyze enemy intelligence.
Along with this, it has been confirmed that this DLC also has an affinity graph with Matthew and company registered on it. In fact, you earn affinity points when new characters are added to the affinity table, so it’s highly recommended that you talk to everyone you meet. In this affinity table, all registered characters have their own profile card. Each card features a series of affinity challenges (like completing a certain quest, for example) and completing them all will deepen your bond with that character and earn you even more affinity points.
On the other hand, the affinity views: Special events that occur in specific locations around the world. You can enjoy a conversation with Matthew and the other characters while admiring the landscapes of Aionios. You also get some bonus affinity points for watching this.
Today it has also been presented to Market (voiced by Ryou Hirohashi in Japanese), who is an intelligent soldier who fights alongside Rex. She is cautious and sensitive. She has a lot of respect for Rex, whom she considers her teacher, but she often scolds him for acting reckless.
We also have details about Rex’s class:
- His class is Master Driver, a class that allows you to unleash continuous slashes with two great swords and smash enemies with powerful critical strikes.
- Weapon: Aegis Swords.
- Battle Role: Attacker.
- Talent Art: Infinite Blade, a powerful attack that nullifies the guard and deals damage that bypasses the enemy’s defense.

In this DLC set before the events of the base game, players join a cast of new and familiar characters in an original story setting that connects all three installments of the Xenoblade Chronicles series. It also introduces new battle mechanics, such as the Unity Combo, where two characters can attack in unison.
